So if you don't know what asian fishing is, it's a "cosmetic" where people put on makeup to make them look east asian and dress up in stereotypical asian girl clothing. Other people might see this as just a "cosmetic" but I see it as cultural appropriation. Most people who do asian fishing are pretending they're something they're not. They're adopting the characteristics of asians even though they're not asian. They also try to fit themselves into the typical "asian stereotype" and some even try to make an "asian nickname" for themselves which are usually just common Japanese names like "SaKuRa or YuKi" Also, people seem to be treating being asian as an "aesthetic". Most of the people in the aesthetic community use asian girls as their pfp even though some of them are not really asian. And as an asian myself, everybody doesn't take us seriously about our identity anymore. They think we're like the rest of the asian fishers. This needs to stop. I'm hella tired of this. If you support this issue, remix and spread the word.
