Songheart, one of my OCs! And btw, that's not blood, her fur looks like that. I finally finished coloring!!!!! -Story time!- Songheart pushed herself to run faster as badgers blundered behind her, rain drumming down on her pelt. And no cat had believed her. Now it had to be this way. Songheart spotted flashes of cat fur and knew she had reached her awaiting clanmates. "BADGERS!" she screeched loudly, making all of their heads turn. Falconclaw, (Deputy, Tom) turned his head as Songheart bolted past him and he brought a massive paw, claws unsheathed, onto the badgers head. As Songheart struggled to catch her breath, her clanmates rushed to meet the incoming badgers. There was around ten, all as massive and fierce as the next. Catching her breath, she turned and leaped onto the nearest badger, tearing clumps of fur from its back and biting its ears. The badger let out a snort, shaking its body to get her off. Redthunder, (Warrior, She-cat) raced to help. In a fury of rage of being attacked by two cats, the badger sliced its curved claws down her side, and Songheart watched with horror her clanmate fall to the ground. Songheart furiously teared at the badgers neck, satisfied when it started to blunder off in fear. Songheart leaped from its back, running into camp, which was only a couple tail-lengths away. "LEAFSTORM!" she hollered, hoping the medicine cat heard her. As if she knew what was happening, Leafstorm came dashing out with herbs, going straight to Redthunder. Soon enough, the other badgers were beaten off, and the space before SnowClan camp was quiet. "We won," Berrystar (Leader, She-cat) meowed as she congratulated her clan. Falconclaw gave a sudden furious hiss. "How did they hide? No patrols reported any scents of badger besides..." he stopped, looking at Songheart. "You were the ONLY ONE who reported signs of badgers. How come you didn't take anyone to come chase them away?" he pestered. Songheart's eyes narrowed. "I tried to, but not enough cats actually believed me, so I couldn't take a proper patrol!" she shouted back at her deputy dangerously. Berrystar frowned. "If they were out in the forest, why did you go by yourself when you could've taken the patrol you were supposed to lead today. They waited for you this whole time. Why'd you go out so early?" Songheart shuffled her paws. The new warrior didn't enjoy being looked at by the leader. "...I needed a way to prove that the badgers were actually there..." she muttered slowly. Silence lit the clearing for a minute. "Are you saying... that you lead the badgers here to prove that they were there...?" Streaktail, (Warrior, Tom) asked in disbelief. Songheart fumbled for words. "T-the b-badgers h-had t-to b-be s-stopped. I-I c-couldn't f-fight th-them m-myself, a-and s-so I-I h-had t-to s-show y-you t-the b-badgers t-to m-make y-you b-believe..." Furious yowls met her words from everywhere. "Do you even know how dangerous that was?" "What if someone got killed?" "You put US in danger!" "What kind of warrior endangers their clanmates?" "You should've found another way!" "Redthunder almost died!" Berrystar silenced them with a loud yowl. "ENOUGH!" she yowled, staring down every cat. Songheart flinched away from her clanmates accusing stares. They would never trust her again now! Berrystar glanced at every cat. "I agree when you say she could've found another way, but maybe this is a lesson to you to believe your clanmates, even if you don't see or smell the evidence." Berrystar's gaze swept over her clan. "Back to camp!" she ordered, and everyone filed into camp, sneaking glares at Songheart as they passed her. Songheart was so close to crying she couldn't stand it. What would her parents think when they found out? Once everyone was in camp, the tears flowed freely from her eyes and she ran through the forest. Songheart hadn't wanted to do that, especially with this outcome, but if she hadn't someone might've actually died! But it costed all her clanmates trust, and she might never earn it back.
