Hi! I'm writing a book on scratch and this is a mystery, drama, moral, family, and therian book called Ruby Lost. Prologue: The day Ruby and Miles' mother disappeared was the most devastating day for everybody. "She'll be home," their father, Marcus gently pushed them towards the door. But it had been an hour after the time their mother told them she'd be home from her hike. And it was dark already. What if a wild animal got her? Ruby worried. What if she tripped and got injured? What if she strayed off the trail? Ruby didn't cry, but she was doubtful that her mother would be home that night. She... just had a feeling. That after that night her life would change forever. Miles awoke to the sound of police sirens. He sat up, tip toeing out of his bedroom, trying not to wake Ruby up who was on the top bunk. He stopped to study her face. She was curled up in a ball and whimpering, no doubt having a nightmare. Her face was tear stained from the night and her pillow looked wet. Miles had never seen her like this. His strong and independent sister never cried. She never had nightmares. She pushed negative thought away and hit the bullies back. The police sirens stopped now. He looked away from his sister and slowly creaked open the door at the same time as the front door creaked open. "It's quite early for somebody to disappear," said a voice that Miles had never heard before. It was a man with a young and smooth voice. "She didn't disappear today. She disappeared last night," Miles' father said, his voice cracking. Miles' ears perked up. Mom. It was Mom. She didn't come back last night. And he was worried that she might never will.
Okay this was an accident. I've never heard of a book called, "Ruby lost and found." Summary: Ruby and Miles' lives have been perfect. Financially stable, mentally stable and socially stable. No need for anything to happen. But when their mother disappears everything changes. Ruby goes after her mother and meanwhile Miles is the only person who knows anything.
