Anakin Skywalker first appeared in The Phantom Menace. He was one of the main characters in this first movie. His role in the movie was the one Qui Gon Jinn saw as 'the balance in the Force'. Anakin was trained by Kenobi because Jinn was killed by Darth Maul. He grew up to be ignorant and strong tempered. He married Padme in the episode 2, and they had the twins Leia and Luke. Anakin soon turned to the Dark Side and was then known and Darth Vader. He died after a fight he had with Luke in a later episode, his last choice was to turn back to the Jedi.
