After I made, finished, and shared my game "Adventure," I began working on a sequel because I feel like I did a great job and it was my best platformer yet. But, I wanted to change things up instead of making my FOURTH linear platformer game. This game was going to be titled "Adventure II - The Secret Fortress" and as the name explains, it was going to look like a fortress or some kind of secret abandoned castle. This is why at the start, there are a lot of bricks and a structure looking like an entrance. I also attempted to make the background fit the scenery, and I even made all of the ground one color to look like stone. So, why didn't I go through with this game? Well, after the first floor, I lost interest in the game because of only one type of level. All of my other platformers have different themes - Ground and Sky in the first two: "Adventure (old)" and "The Unknown", and a variety of different themes in the last two: "Quest" and "Adventure." However, this game was only going to have one central theme, and it got boring after a while. A month ago, I had an idea. "If the first game was so good, and this one would bring new mechanics, why not make a sequel to the one you already made?" So, I'm making a sequel to "Adventure" with similar themes and gameplay. But, the mechanics of going backwards a level, up a floor, and down a floor will be in that one two. I'm not going to spoil all of the details, so find out when I release it! I hope it doesn't take very long, and I might get more chances to work on it over the summer. Thanks for reading, and have a good day!
