Laura soon found herself in the familiar household of the Lovegoods. It was perfectly circular, bringing back memories of family reunions to Laura. She stared at the circle-like sinks painted with birds and insects in bright colors. How was this part of my transformation? Laura wondered. “The ministry suspects that Lord Voldemort- “ Laura turned her head to see ten-year-old Luna Lovegood reading from the Daily Prophet. “Luna!” she heard Xenophilius’s frantic voice, “you’re not supposed to say his name!” “Well, I don’t think he likes nobody saying his name” the ten-year-old Luna retorted, placing the newspaper down. Laura saw the present-day Luna facepalming. “That’s why we don’t say his name!” Xenophilius said wisely. Laura blinked, was this why her appearance changed? Because Luna said he-who-must-not-be-name’s name? Was it really that cursed? Suddenly, Laura felt her world spin, as if the plate had shifted. Soon, she found herself and Luna staring back at Draco, Narcissa, Xenophilius, Snape, and Dumbledore’s eyes back at Snape’s office. “So, do you understand now?” Narcissa asked hopefully. “Yeah,” Laura said, “Moldy Voldy’s name was so cursed that it changed my appearance.” “Laura!” Narcissa scolded. Xenophilius let out a groan of frustration. “Wrong memory” he said. He pointed his wand to his head and another thread of silver floated from his head into the pensive. Oh no, Laura worried. She knew what was about to happen. Sure enough, her predictions came true; Dumbledore had once again Luna and Laura into the pensive. “Hey!” Laura screamed, but it was too late; the two cousins found themselves in a hospital room. Clean white drapes covering the window. In the corner of the room sat an insanely pretty lady. She had messy blonde hair that covered her eyes that reflected of a calm, warm sky. Laura quickly recognized this lady as Aunt Pandora, Luna’s mother. In her arms occupied two newborn babies, both looking identical. “You know what you have to do, Pandy” a sad voice came, she turned around to see Uncle Xeno, his face grim from grief. Pandora nodded, her eyes swimming with tears. “Does the prophecy have to be true?” she muttered, clutching one of the babies tightly, “I don’t want to give her up” “You have to” Xenophilius said softly, as if he were soothing a child. Laura never saw him this calm, at least since Pandora’s funeral, “It’s to keep her safe and she’ll be raised by my brother’s family, so you’ll still be able to see her” “But still- “ The door burst open, revealing a couple who both had long and blonde hair. “Pandora,” The woman who Laura recognized as Narcissa Malfoy greeted “How are you coping after, you know” “She is trying” Xenophilius replied, touching the two babies on the head, “Let her name then she’ll give the older one” Narcissa and the man, who Laura recognized as Lucius nodded slowly. “The eldest one is going to be named Laura,” Pandora announced softly, “Laura Luisa Lovegood”
