hi, i'm sheil or roswell! i use he/him, she/her, and shi/hir pronouns. i'm mostly known as "that guy who likes mr. robot and fight club and educates people on intersex issues in the hive". i've been a member since early 2020, and my timezone is PST! extra info about me: - i really like mr. robot and severance and fight club - i'm fictkin and otherkin - my hobbies include stamp making, hacking and coding, playing guitar (i'm actually in a band! it's called disco vietnam), and watching/analyzing TV - i'm 15 and i could be on ranging 8:00-21:30 i think i would be a good manager because one of my passions is educating and helping people. it's something that means a lot to me and something i always love to do. i'm capable of both messing around and joking with people but also very aware of when things aren't acceptable to talk about. i also frequently open dialogues on lesser known topics (such as intersex awareness, schizospec awareness, etc.,) and encourage people to learn more and i feel i would be able to help more people learn if i were a manager. additionally, if i were a manager, that would also put me in a greater position to be able to help people with whatever they need or want to know. one disadvantage to me being a manager would be that i might not be able to be online all the time. for example, i'm involved in some extracurricular activities- that might prevent me from being online at certain times. additionally, during the winter. i have what i refer to as "psychosis flareups" where my typically mild psychosis will get a little worse. in order to end that as soon as possible (usually only takes a day or two), i take breaks from online spaces and technology in general. however, this does not happen frequently (only during winter and it's been getting better with recent years). i think two unique things i could bring to the position are me being intersex and openly talking about it and educating about it and also being religious. i think it's important for people to consider other perspectives and it would be easier for people to do that if one of the managers were perspectives commonly forgotten in the studio-- as the majority of the studio is perisex as well as atheist. on the religious thing, i'm also converting to judaism (actively) so i could talk about my experience so people could learn about it. something i would improve about the gaehive if i was promoted is how much reach the managers are able to have on the curators. i'm frequently active as a curator, have been for years, and with great enthusiasm try to teach people about important issues like, again, intersex awareness. due to me doing this frequently, i've garnered some, not to toot my own horn by any sense, vague popularity. i think my reputation as an educator in the studio could increase respect for managers and have more people view them as a resource for things instead of just "The Managers". the gaehiveans i would recommend are: - charlie (sold-my-soul). he has demonstrated so much kindness and compassion towards every gaehiver. i highly believe they would be a fantastic manager due to the amount of respect they treat every person they talk to with as well as their excitedness to learn about issues. - bo (SomeBoredCreator) i think she is super cool and awesome. also, she's a manager on rphive so she has management experience. thank you for reading!! <2
xtra notes: i also have management experience!! :-) ive been managing some online spaces for 4 years now and its something that makes me genuinely very happy and grateful that i have that opportunity. also i made this as fast as i can because i was so psyched for applications so im sorry if its bad
