I would like to tell you here and now I am confident in my abilities to lead and help the Hive in any way I can! Instead of me just saying that though, let me get into the nitty the gritty and the details on why you should hire me!!!!!!!!!!! This is Bill he's here for emotional support. Question 1: A little bit about you, including how long you've been a member, and your timezone. Answer 1: I have been here for about 8-9 months. My timezone is CST. Those things are nice and all, but you want to know ME!!! Don't you?? I am Lorraine. I'm an agender transfem lesbian gal who is just trying her best in this world. I care deeply about the Hive and the people within it. Even those I do not particularly like still matter to me as we are all in this together. I am 15, I have AuDHD, I'm a strong leftist, and I have a lot of interests. I am a person just like you, and we all deserve care, love, and friendship. Question 2: Why would you be a good manager? Answer 2: I wish I could tell you I had a simple easy answer that would convince you immediately to give me the role, but I don't have that. All I have is my words, my heart, and my thoughts. I will support all people of the Hive, assure that equality and love spreads to all our people, and care the wellbeing of the Hiveans. I will assure all people follow the rules, and make sure all conflicts are resolved peacefully and professionally. I will also make the people's voice heard and guarantee everyone, from the most active manager to a once a week messager, gets a say, and that the Hive has a say in the future of scratch. Question 3: Downsides to you being a manager? Answer 3: I'm not going to be dishonest with you. I am not perfect. I have have been, never will be, and never claim to be. My pros outweigh my cons, but I got cons. First of all I can be too confrontational. I can get angry easy with others, and it can cause me issues. However, I am able to easily overcome and it continue my duties if needed. Another thing is when I get too depressed, I have a tendency to shut in a bit and talk less to folks and in my social spaces. It's a habit that is hard to overcome, but I do my best. Finally, I have to say sometimes I care TOO much! (The last one is a joke.) Questions 4 and 5: What unique things would you bring to the Gaehive? What would you improve about the Gaehive if you were promoted? Answers 4 and 5: Here's what I think we need to do that we have not been bold enough to try before. We need to start advertising in other spaces like the clock app. We need to talk to Scratch directly and ask for things as WE are their user base and WE must make ourselves heard. We should try to get more studio control, so that we can weed out trolls easier than ignoring them. I also believe message deleting could go on for a period of time based on what rules someone has violated as a sort of timeout. I have many more ideas, but we don't have time for all that. Question 6: Name 2+ other people you think should become managers. Answer 6: Is this even a question? Eel, Canni, and Panera are some of the most amazing people I know, not just in the Hive, but in my personal life as well. They bring joy, love, and positivity every place they go. I have no doubts about it, and I hope even if you don't accept me you will strongly take the three of them into consideration. They deserve it as much, if not more, than me. Every single one of those wonderful, kind, loving people deserves only the best. Unfortunately, I have a dreadful memory, and can't remember most things that happen. I can not recall specific incidents in which they helped the Hive. For that I truly apologize. :( In conclusion this is my full application for manager. I am just a humble girl who cares about the Hive, cares about her friends, and cares about assuring all people have exactly what they need. I'm a leftist, which means I stand for the rights and the voice of everyone. I believe in all people being equal. I think that the Hive, though wonderful it its current form, can still be improved, and I want to improve it. With the Help of every manager, with the voice of every curator, with the ideas of every Hivean, with the power of every Scratcher, we can overcome. Together we can overcome.
