Darsolare mutsamibas Alias: Golden Axe-Faced Darsolare (Or simply Axe-Faced Darsolare) Niche: Omnivore/Scavenger Evolved From: Darsolare Desc: The Axe-Faced Darsolare is a relatively small species of Darsolare, not much larger than the Darsolare at just 45 centimeters in length. Their most notable feature is the "axe" sticking out of their head, which is composed of highly dense exoskeleton. This feature is vital to any Axe-Faced Darsolare, as they use it to defend themselves against predators, hunt down prey, cut through thick plants, and occasionally fight with each other when food is scarce. They mainly eat smaller creatures and most plants, and they'll always happily take the opportunity to feed on an unguarded corpse when they see one. Female Axe-Faced Darsolares have smaller axes. Life Cycle: Females give live birth to 2-3 larvae about 5 months after mating. Axe-Faced Darsolare larvae are born without axes, however, these will grow rather quickly, usually taking only about a month to fully form. Females' axes usually grow in a few hours faster than those of males'. Axe-Faced Darsolares reach maturity at 2 years, although they usually become more independent a couple months before they do. They can live for up to 10 years. They breed in open ocean every 2 years.
