It's a simple piano! Actual pianos are now obsolete! >:) PIANOS ARE USELESS NOW THAT I HAVE MY PIANO OUT! MWA HA HA! ... Instructions are explained in the project, but I'll put them here. Keys 1-8 play the piano. Keys C and B play drums (because every good song needs a beat!) If you need inspiration, press SPACE to see some sample songs that you can play.
Credits for the sample songs are in the project. The piano and drum sounds are from Scratch's library. I found those sounds work better than the "play note [piano note] for (I can't wait this long) beats" blocks. UPDATE LOG: 1.0 = Initial release. 1.0.1 = Tiny little tweak. My last game was Z.A.H. That was six projects ago. After that, all of my projects are just tests, school projects, miscellaneous, and just weird stuff that I can't even explain. You would think I would make another game, right? Nope. Instead, I share this piano. Not that it's a shabby piano or anything. I'm still in the game making business! I'll get more games out soon, so hang tight! Anyway, on to the piano itself. Simple Piano lives up to its name. It plays sounds when you press keys. I know this has probably been done before, but I'm rather happy with the way it turned out! It really seems like you're playing piano! I also added drums because why not? They mix well with the piano! I decided to use "Play Sound" block instead of "Play Note" blocks for two reasons. The first reason being tuning the note blocks is unnecessary when you can get sounds that sound better easier. The second and more important reason is that the note blocks have a parameter to play for a certain number of beats. The problem is that the note would have to finish playing before you could play it again. When I use "Play Sound" blocks, a sound can be played over and over repeatedly without having to wait for the sound to finish playing. The sample songs are from different video games I like. I don't own them, but I did write the sheet music for this piano. I hope to add more sample songs as time goes on. Until then, try writing your own songs! Or you can play already existing songs like I did. I'm not judging you! P.S. I know the sample songs aren't all totally accurate. My piano is somewhat limited, so I had to adjust the songs to make them sound good on it. I'll improve them over time if I can. I did, however, nail that Song of Time. It's perfect.
