Mining pools are usually used by crypto miners to get crypto more consistently. Without pools, miners have to get really lucky, but what pools will do is it will use a bunch of people's computers, and the reward is given to the people with the computers based on hash rate(how fast it does the calculations). My mining thing isn't the same because of TurboCoin being on scratch, mining isn't necessary for the same purpose, but mine works similarly, I give it to the owner of the winning pool, then they distribute it themself.
