-=+=- A Message From Xith -=+=- This site changed my life. I found a new hobby, or a possible career. I met a lot of really good people. And I learned how useless drama really is. I started using Scratch in the 5th grade because of a school project my class was working on, I was instantly hooked and spent a majority of my free time exploring the site, making projects & friends, and gaining followers. I was apart of the prime of scratch, everyone was posting and creating, G+ was a big part of outside-of-scratch communication, we had scratch Minecraft servers, and competed in team events like Color Wars, life was good. Then the drama started, people left, hated on others projects, and you could just tell it wasn't nearly as good as it used to be. So like every other decently sensible scratcher, I left, because it wasn't worth dealing with. But don't take this the wrong way, I'm not coming back, it's not my time anymore. I am writing this message to you now as a 9th grader, soon to be 10th. It's been almost FIVE years, it's crazy to think about. Those five years have allowed me to mature and really understand how to deal with unnecessary problems. So here's some pointers: - Make Friends - Be Kind - Work Hard - Make Friends: EVERYONE on this site is the same, whether they have 1000 followers or none, we're all people, and nobody is superior to anyone. So don't be afraid to send a message to a "famous" scratcher, they love talking to you just as much as you love talking to them. And who knows, you might gain a new friend here and there. - Be Kind: You are on a EDUCATION website, take your hate to video games or sports, but everyone is learning on here, so if they have bad grammar, or not-so-great projects, inspire them to get better. Don't put them down and ruin the future they could have with graphic design and programming. - Work Hard: Through my months/years on this website being considered a "famous" scratcher, all I heard was "Xith! I WISH I HAD AS MANY FOLLOWERS AS YOU". Oh really? You want as many followers as me? Then go earn them. Make quality projects by taking the time to learn how to make cool code in your projects and make graphic design that is appealing to the eye. You can do it. Even Griffpatch started from the bottom like you did, build yourself up instead of wasting time being jealous of what everyone else can do. So follow these things, and share these things with your friends. Feel free to remix this project and make as many changes/ no changes to it, as long as this message stays. Scratch was an amazing community back when I was first apart of it. You guys are the next generation, so make it even better. - Xith out
