In science class we learned about the mechanics of catapults and then designed and built our own. In Computer Science we were challenged to solve the design challenge problem: How might we design a computer model that informs a user about the mechanics of how a catapult works? I used Design Thinking to create a Scratch program that is a solution to the user need: A user who knows nothing about catapults needs to know about the different parts of a catapult and how they work so as to satisfy their curiosity about catapults.
