Click the flag and enter a number to watch the ladybird draw a pattern. Can you see what the number represents? Why doesn't a number less than three make sense? What happens if you use very large numbers? Don't forget that you can use Shift + Green Flag to turn on Turbo Mode and speed up the drawing.
This is an example to introduce the idea of blocks to KS3 students, and to introduce the idea of arguments/parameters. It can also help promote the ideas of precision and efficiency - you don't need to rotate more than 360 degrees for each shape. It also introduces the idea of scaling values - e.g. to try to get the pattern to fit on the screen and to use the full spectrum of 200 colours whatever number is entered.
