What happens in this episode? Welcome to Rarity, based in Victorian Britain, it is a mountain that has a magic school for orphaned girls. At 10 years old, they are tested to earn a wand, there are three wands you can get, bronze, silver and gold, if you fail, you are wandless. After you take the test, you leave Rarity forever. This one was quite hard, especially because I had to focus on the dramatic bits (flashbacks etc.) I'm really proud of this one, because it is more scary, sad, and dramatic. Note: I don't think this will upset younger scratchers, I know what I was scared of a few years ago, and I know that other younger kids would probably find it scary, so I made sure I dodged those bits. You can request it for a feature here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/198735/ ======================================== >>HOW I CAME UP WITH THE IDEA<< Teachers were rambling on about tests and grades, so I thought about making an animated series on these people who lived in a mountain surrounded with lava would be cool. >>EVOLUTION<< It started out as WITCHES in fancy cloaks and hats and necklaces. I eventually scrapped the hats, the necklaces and now the cloaks. If you watched the trailer the day it came out, you would see the first appearance of EVIE with long ginger hair, PURPLE eyes and a grey cloak. Evie still has a grey cloak. EMERALD started out with DARK GREEN hair and a DARK PURPLE cloak and hat. Miss Ivy, Lucy and eventually Rosemary came after this along with some additions such as guards and other children. You will no longer see them in the series since this is based back in Rarity. >>ABOUT RARITY<< I came up with the name after I decided on gold, silver and bronze wands. They seemed like rare metals which is why it is called Rarity.
