⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . foreword . Hello! This is the official ( new and updated ) rules and guidelines project for RiverClan’s Nursery. If you want your RiverClan character to have a litter of kits, you must go through kitting control. To do that, read the rules below, then fill out the application and post it under the appropriate comment in the RiverClan Nursery studio. Currently, thirty slots are available in the nursery, and there can be up to six adopted litters at a time. ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . links . . nursery . https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/33995849/ . guide to prefixes . https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1074049608 . prefix and suffix rules . https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1012237220 ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . general rules . - the nursery is strictly first come first serve, which means you cannot preclaim a spot - there can’t be more than 30 kits in the nursery at a time ( and a maximum of 6 adopted litters ), but there can be any amount of queens/den dads - the number of kits is decided by a roll of a six sided dice - 1 = 1 kit, 2-3 = 2 kits, 4-5 = 3 kits, and 6 = 4 kits! - the minimum age for a cat to have a litter ( whether biological or adopted ) is 16 moons, cldwrd is foliage there will be no exceptions. your character becomes unable to have a biological litter at the age of 90 moons, this doesn't apply to adopted litters. if someone applies and their character is too young or old ( in case of biological litters ) it will be automatically denied - in order to have a biological litter a cat must have a mate or a surrogate ( see respective sections for more info ) - you must wait until your character’s previous litter has reached the age of 13 moons, there will be no exceptions to this - if a form is denied for any reason ( ect. not meeting requirements, prior litter not old enough, not enough room in nursery ) there is a mandatory waiting period of 4 days before a repost can be submitted - if your character is less that 5 irl weeks old you will not be allowed to apply for a slot regardless of age - if you choose to use less slots than what you rolled for then that extra slot(s) will go into kit returns! these can be later added to a future litter ( but cannot exceed 4 kits in the litter ), these can also be transferred by other roleplayers but do require proof that its okay with the returned slot owner ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . reasoning rules . . requirements . - at /least/ 3 solid well explained reasons as to why your character wants kits ( see biological and surrogated litters for exceptions ) - must not contain any of our banned reasons ( see the section below ) . banned reasons . - using kits to grieve/cope over someone/something - using kits to make your character more mature or for character development - your character cannot have kits /just/ because they love them or because they are lonely ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . litter specific rules . . biological . - if there are two parents in the litter then the litter doesn’t require reasoning - if both parents are able to carry the kits then they are allowed to split the litter between them . surrogated . - surrogates cannot be an NPC if it is a single parent litter - in the case of it being a two parent litter reasoning will not be required as long as you have a valid reason as to why they need a surrogate - proof will be required that the other character/roleplayer consented to surrogate if not an npc . adopted . - the youngest an adopted litter of kits can start out as is 1 moon - a cat can have a maximum of two adopted litters ( this is not counting cats who are; aro-ace, infertile, or in a relationship where kits are biologically impossible [ ex. mlm or wlw ] )
⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . form . . your character’s name + age / character’s partner ( if applicable ) + age / biological, adopted, surrogate? / application, preclaim, or both? / wish to reserve any names? / using kit returns? if so, how many? / rolling for a calico male ( put n/a if not needed ) / 3 reasons ( for adoption/surrogacy only ) / codeword / other (questions/comments) . ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . q&a . - do biological litters with a surrogate require reasoning? it depends! If it is a single parent litter then yes it will, but if they are two parents that are using a surrogate because one isn't able to have kits then no! - what are some other reasons my form could be denied? if your reasonings aren’t the cause of your form being denied, there are some others as well (see general rules). this includes not meeting/surpassing the age limit, cooldown, age of previous litters, etc. - what if I have questions that aren’t covered in this project? feel free to ask questions in the questions thread of nursery studio or send one directly to noxx @starwhim- ! we’re always open to answering questions and will gladly answer them to the best of our abilities ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . afterword and credits . thank you for taking the time to read this, hopefully this will clear up any confusion for those new to the nursery system or for anyone that has questions.
