Basically all the main characters died so Shrimpo bakes these pastry themed versions of them and puts their souls into the new vessels (all except Vee and Astro, their new bodies looked the same as their last ones). After the handlers found out about what happened, they decided to make Shrimpo the new main character. None of the toons were happy with this. So Shrimpo decided it was best to avoid the others and limit contact with them. Dandy is basically the same, but his petals are replaced with gumdrops. Sprout is also basically the same, but now he has some melted sour sugar on his face. Vee and Astro are the same though.
