Laika was a medium sized mixed breed stray dog born 1954 in Moscow Russia. Unfortunately the people who rescued her only rescued her to send her far away from us. Laika was the first dog to go to space. she never made it back home to us. and the cruel people who sent her knew this. Rest beyond the stars, Laika. 1954-1957 “They say that from space, the Earth looks like a small, blue ball. I’ll throw it for you, Laika, if you’ll chase it.”
