Chapter 1 I grabbed my backpack and started stuffing things I needed inside. Today was my first day as a freshman at Coastal Wave High. I got changed into a Malibu shirt that my best friend Lana Andeson got for me when she was in Florida visiting her dad. Then I slipped into my blue flower jeans. I walked into my decorated pink closet and pulled out a pair of white platform heels. Then I walked down the spiral stairs to the main kitchen. My four year old sister Tami was having cinnamon toast. “Hihi!!” She said. I chuckled and waved. Then I went into our giant pantry, pulled out some cereal, and started digging into my Froot Loops. “Good morning, April,” said my mom. “Ewo,” I said, my mouth stuffed with food. “April, we’re leaving in two minutes, okay?” said my dad. I nodded and cleared my bowl. I grabbed my backpack, pet one of my dachshunds, Snickers, and walked out the door with Dad. He drove me all the way the Coastal Wave High. I caught up with Lana and walked to class with her. Luckily, we had all classes together. Being a freshman was going to be awesome. Or so I thought.
