Ricky will also be unable to jump due to this. But, although it’s difficult, he will learn how to climb. (So he can get up on a cat tower lol) Hind leg paralysis in cats can be caused by many things, but in Ricky’s case, I’m guessing he was born this way. Cats who are paralyzed may have problems going to the bathroom on their own and will need their bladder’s expressed at least 3 times daily. However, not all cats have this problem, and for the sake of the roleplay, Ricky won’t have that issue- Some cats that are paralyzed may use a wheelchair to help them get around. I’m not sure if Ricky will have one of those, but I think it would be flipping adorable if he did- ❝ You mean more than me than what you see ❞ Muteness: ❝ I'm just being real 'cause I know how you feel ❞ (All of this research is based around humans, so take it with a grain of salt!) There are multiple types of muteness. Mute, which means that someone can’t or has a limited ability to speak, Nonvocal, which someone can’t form words but can make sounds, Selective / Situational Mutism, where someone is unable to speak in certain stressful situations, Traumatic Mutism, where someone becomes mute after going through some sort of trauma, along with a few others. Ricky will be mute, not being able talk whatsoever, but will be able to make small noises! (Purring, mewing, maybe a yowl if he gets too scared) Ricky will communicate with others via CSL, gotten from this project: People who are mute frequently have social anxiety due to their condition, and Ricky will definitely be one of those people. It can be difficult to socialize, and some people may prefer if others spoke for them. I hope this is good research! He is very imaginative and frequently gets lost in faer own mind. Ricky loves to make friends, and will try to meet new cats whenever possible. He always tries to look at the good side of every cat. Sure, they may have done bad things in the past, but they had to have a reason for doing them! And cats can change! ..Right? Anyway, he is also super smart and sensitive. He will take minor insults to heart, and may take something you said the wrong way. He’s also incapable of hiding his emotions. If he’s happy, you’ll know it. If he’s sad, you’ll definitely know it. He’s also quite a pushover. Due to being against violence, he frequently lets himself be talked down to or stepped all over. He wants to make others happy, even at faer own expense. However, he’ll eventually learn to stand up for himself! Ricky has anxiety about his own appearance, not just because of faer muteness, but about faers paralyzed hind legs. He doesn’t want to be treated differently or insulted for faers condition. But he quickly learns how to love himself! Ricky is also an amazing therapist due to faers empathy! He always encourages everyone to love themselves no matter what! <33 Ricky loves faers friends more than anything. He would do anything for them! His empathy is so strong that he physically feels the pain of others! (Like me irl lol- TwT) He loves the night sky. The stars are so beautiful! He gets overwhelmed by loud or sudden noises easily. Sensory overload is quite common for faer, and he’ll have to retreat from a situation when it gets too bad. However, Ricky may force himself to stay in a situation if faers friends are enjoying themselves.
