Jaguar recently has undergone a radical rebranding that has resulted in significant backlash. Much of that is due to the new logo removing the iconic "Leaper" and its accompanying advert omitting any inclusion of cars, rather, the brand seems to project cheap tech product and/or some perfume or fashion brand rather than a car company. While I get the idea behind Jaguar's thinking, as they plan to only make EVs now and target a different audience, I worry that this branding doesn't appeal to this new audience and doesn't appeal to their old one either, pleasing no one. Sure, it's got people talking about Jaguar again, but I struggle to see how this will convince people to buy an EV that is already expected to cost more than Jaguar's older cars. This is my attempt at making some kind of happy medium between Jaguar's future and its heritage. Want to just clarify though that I'm not an expert, I am a certified moron who might be completely missing the point of their rebrand, who knows, maybe once Jaguar starts releasing these new cars they'll sell like hot cakes. Also, I'm not mad about this rebrand like some are who seem to think it's some social catastrophe, that's silly. My issue is just that I personally feel the new identity isn't going to appeal to anyone, a new target market, or their old one. Last thing is the redraw I did of the Leaper isn't as good as I was hoping, but I just simply don't want to keep working on this since I've got other projects I wanna do more, this is just a little fun lol.
