I recently watched Purple Hearts. (Nobody reading this should watch it unless your older, like 16 and up older.) It was so good. I love the songs so much, I literally put the songs Sofia Carson, and others, wrote and perform on all my playlists. The movie and the songs are so beautiful. It is kind of weird seeing someone, who played a character from a movie franchise that I watched growing up, then do a movie like this. I love the movie and I am probably a little obsessed.
Basically what happens is Cassie (Sofia Carson) is struggling with medical problems. She is a singer/songwriter. She struggles with writing music because of her medical problems. She meets a Marine, Luke (Nicolas Galitzine), who has had a struggling past. They pretty much hate each other. Cassie finds out if she marries a Marine she could get a year of free health care so she goes to one of her friends, who is also a Marine, and asks him to marry her so she could get free health care. He would also get like 2,000 extra dollars if he got married. He tells her that he loves his girlfriend and is going to propose when he gets back from a mission, or something like that, and Luke hears the conversation. He knows he needs the money and gives Cassie the deal instead. They get married and start to fall in love. Cassie starts definitely fell first, or at least the hardest, and started writing songs about how she hopes Luke comes home, and how she feels like he feels the same, and how she has never felt this way before. At the end they admit they love each other and stay married.
