DDR if it was bad and for keyboards. Not a rhythm game of any sort, just a fun experiment. Why did I put so much effort into this... CONTROLS: - Use the ASKL keys (left to right) to match corresponding arrows as they reach the line. Keys can be pressed or held. - Press Space to retry while retaining the current high score. - Press B to activate the bot, indicated by the icon in the top-right corner. INFORMATION: - Each successful hit increases the combo by 1, adds score equal to the current combo, and restores a small amount of HP. - Arrow speed gradually increases over time. - Missing an arrow decreases HP and resets the combo. - The game ends if HP is entirely depleted. - The bot can play perfectly until arrow speed exceeds roughly 50, at which point they may skip over the line in one frame. Using the bot disables score and HP gains. NOTES: - The number at the bottom represent, from the bottom-left-most clockwise: Highscore, Score, Speed, Combo. - Arrows are not synchronized to music or any rhythm and are randomly generated each session. - No more than two different arrows can appear at the same time, and a maximum of two keys can be held simultaneously. These restrictions are designed to prevent holding all keys continuously and to accommodate keyboards with limited key rollover capabilities.
Version 2 of the original "Unfair Arrows". What's New: - Completely revamped the internal system for spawning arrows, making it easier to modify in the future, - Changed controls to be more intuitive and "fair", - Added HP mechanic as Game Over condition, - Significantly improved visuals and the overall vibe, - Added Bot icon and changed behavior slightly, - Tons of other minor fixes and tweaks, - Updated and improved the description and instructions accordingly (thanks ChatGPT).
