Story: In a world dominated by the mold-like Abyssal creatures, one man takes on the world and treks through the worst of the Abyss to make it home. He is armed only with his trusty crossbow, an old lighter, and whatever he can buy with his meager few coins. Very little is guaranteed for him, but one thing is certain: his travels will not be easy. Guide him well, as his fate rests solely in your mediocre hands. Controls: WASD: Move Left Mouse: Use item, change item, or pick up bunny meat. (Click anywhere to pick up meat, you don't have to click the meat itself) Number Keys: Change item E: Pick up item Q: Drop item Goal: Survive until the end and beat the final boss at difficulty 11. To do this, you first have to beat difficulty 10, which awards you the badge that allows for you to try 11. Save the game often to keep your progress. The green flag does not reset any badges, but reloading will. Mechanics: At first, the enemies may seem random and confusing, but after you die to one, the game will explain how that enemy works. You will gain knowledge until you can beat the game. Too hard? Try a lower difficulty on the slider. However, to go for badges, you have to be in a difficulty over five, which introduces several new enemies. When you die, you earn coins based on your difficulty and the amount of time you survived. These coins can be used to buy items in the shop to use a single time. To get more coins, you can activate a feat, which increases the difficulty of the game, but also the number of coins you can earn. Items: Items spawn randomly on and around the path, and you can pick them up with "E" and discard them with "Q". The items you find have a variety of useful effects, which you can see by scrolling over the item in your inventory. They are very useful to hold onto for use in tight spots later. You start with a lighter and a crossbow, both of which cannot be dropped. It is recommended that you keep some fuel in your lighter for the middle boss fight. Use number keys or click the inventory to switch items. Features Maybe Coming Soon: Fixing the boss deathscreen Fixing coin counter at the end of a run An "Injection" item that increases speed (A) new biome(s) Better graphics Boss difficulty scaling Updating the variable system to be more robust Recent Changes in Order: Added to the story in the sequel Started making the sequel: Fighting the Abyss ver. 2.1: The Final Stand Fixed the M.O.V.E.R bug Added the feats menu Added a shop system Added the fake bunny enemy and made the bunny spawning system seem more natural Added a save code system, replacing the outdated and nonfunctional cloud variables Tweaked some costumes and added more polish and variety My current Save Code: 1Tul[1xSl[1FtJ[0U!I[1rAM[0BFi[32XAp[ PS: I know the way the save code system works may be obvious to some people out there, and you might know how to cheat all the badges. I don't know how to encrypt it.
Fullscreen is highly recommended, as many words are borderline unreadable without it. Credit to Doors and Pressure from Roblox for the idea. Credit to Radiant Residents from Roblox for some music. Credit to Griffpatch's tutorial for the mechanics behind saving the game...I couldn't have done it myself. Notes: This game has a full game loop, but is still a work in progress, I will keep changing it. If you want, you can advertise. Anyone who makes a rule that you can't is dumb.
