~~~ How To Play ~~~ Left click to reveal a tile Space to flag a tile Reveal all safe tiles to win. The numbers on some revealed tiles are how many mines are in the surrounding 8 tiles. The green diamond shape that appears shortly after the board generates is a guaranteed safe zone. Bottom left number (below the black circle [the mine]) is how many mines are on the board (default is 24, can be changed in modifiers [bottom right button]) Top left number (below the check mark) is how many safe tiles you've revealed. The 11x11 board has 121 tiles total. ~~~ Additional Notes ~~~ Flagging is done with spacebar due to Scratch not having a way to detect right clicks. If it did, I'd use that instead. Difficulties do not affect modifier behaviour, only mine count.
This is a fangame and love letter to Nullscape, Grace, and bLockerman666's Minesweeper. It uses characters and concepts from each. Concept and asset credits are below. ~~~ Modifier Explanations ~~~ LightsOut: You get a small amount of light every time you reveal a safe tile, which fades away very quickly. You also start only being able to see through a flashlight that points in the direction you move in as you clear more tiles. Confusion: Fake tiles appear in random places on the board and begin fading away soon after. Exclusively spawns blank tiles until half of the non-mine tiles are revealed, after which they can have any number from 1-8 on them. Disappear: Tile numbers slowly fade when revealed. Sleepwalker: Adds Dozer and Kookoo. When Dozer appears, remain perfectly still. There's a 1/4 chance for Dozer to open 1 eye instead of both, if that happens he will disappear for a short time before reappearing with both eyes open. Dozer becomes more transparent as more tiles are revealed. When Kookoo appears, a clock will appear in the middle of the screen. It will start spawning blue circles which will begin moving in a random direction and the clock will begin ticking down. When it reaches midnight, every blue circle on the map will become lethal for a moment and then disappear. If Dozer appears while the clock is ticking down, the clock will freeze until Dozer is no longer on screen. Both appear more frequently as more tiles are revealed. Volatile: MOUSE DOWN EQUALS TRUE. green rotating square is your mouse's hitbox, it grows with passing time. prevents flagging. Scorching: Every tile the mouse touches catches fire, and becomes deadly 3 seconds later, growing to 2x the tile's size and then shrinking and disappearing. Also adds a border around the board to prevent cheesing. joey.: Adds Joey. Joey likes to scream. Click on joey to make the screaming stop or else. Oh also another joey gets added every 20 tiles revealed (capping at 5). Vee Mode: A popup will appear on your screen every time you click a mine. You can click on it anywhere to close it. After a few seconds (gets shorter as tiles are revealed) the popup will start shaking, and shortly after it will turn green and make a noise. Failing to close the popup before or while this is happening will cause a fail. Radar Mode: Tile numbers are invisible, hovering over a numbered tile will make it play a sound repeatedly. The rate and pitch of this sound are unique for each number (1-8). Rate and pitch have slight random variations if Confusion is enabled. Tiles will stop playing these sounds when they would've normally become fully invisible if Disappear is enabled. These sounds are inaudible over the fog in Lights Out mode. Sorrow Mode: An umbrella follows your mouse, facing the direction you move it in. Every few seconds an exclamation mark will appear in the middle of your screen for a second. Once it disappears, torrential rain will flood the screen. Point the umbrella towards the rain to block it. Failing to do so and getting hit by the rain will lead to a game over. As more tiles are coloured, the umbrella gets smaller and the rain gets bigger, faster, and more frequent. A black scribble will move around your screen randomly, this is Zero. It does nothing until you reveal 30 tiles, after which it will charge at the mouse every time you click, with a 2 second cooldown (becomes shorter, nearing 0 as more tiles are revealed). This charge gets (way) faster as you reveal more tiles and it will bounce off walls. Zero can only hurt the player while charging. A 2nd Zero will appear after 50 tiles are revealed, and a 3rd after 80. There is a 2 second grace period when one spawns before it can attack (to avoid being spawn-killed by one). If Radar is enabled, the beeps that play while hovering over a numbered tile will alert Zero, even without clicking. This mod adds a border around the board to prevent cheesing. Bliss: Adds The Hourglass. It has 10 grains in it. One falls to the bottom every 0.5 seconds (to 0.3 as the board is revealed). Flagging/unflagging a tile flips the hourglass. If all grains reach the bottom it will break, causing a fail. SHUFFLE: Randomizes mod selection. Difficulty: Controls how many mines spawn when the board generates, does not directly affect modifier behaviour. ~~~ Additional Credits ~~~ Disappear and Scorching are recreations of modifiers from bLockerman666's Minesweeper. Confusion is named after one from that game but works completely differently. Joey, Dozer, Kookoo, and Sorrow are characters from the game Grace. Joey's scream is an asset directly from it. Sorrow's behaviour here is inspired by its use in the game Nullscape. Although Zero's design and behaviour is my own, it is inspired by Nil from Nullscape and Heed from Grace. Vee is a character from the game "Dandy's World". The sounds the popups make are taken directly from it. Cirno's sounds are from the game "Work At A Pizza Place".
