A brown tabby padded up to a cat with short, black fur. "It wasn't your fault, Cobra. She would have died anyways. There was nothing more you could do." The black cat, Cobra, raised her head. "You're wrong. I could have done much more. I could have saved her." "No. Hawk's right. But we can't change the past. We can only learn from our mistakes and make better choices in the future," said an orange cat with a white underbelly and tail tip. She bowed her head. "May the fallen rest in piece." The others echoed her words. "May the fallen rest in piece." Cobra blinked. "You're right, Fox. But can we at least give Minnow a proper goodbye?" Fox dipped her muzzle as the black cat walked up to the hole. "Goodbye, Minnow. May we meet again after this life." Hawk stepped up next. "I will miss you, friend. Visit soon." Fox was last. "Next time, try to stay with us. Please." She turned to her friends. "From now on, we will not fish. Agreed?" Cobra and Hawk nodded. They worked together to kick dirt into the hole, filling it up. Covering no cat's body. END
