backstory Backstory: Fade was a male dragon who lived in a cave in the mountains with his mother, Lily, and father, Echo. One day, Lily told fade that he would learn to fly that day! But, when Fade left the cave, there was a terrible battle happening below the cliff. Lily snarled as Fade looked over the edge, and used her tail to smack him off of the edge and into the battle. All around him, dragons were fighting and dying, but as he fell, he caught a glimpse of his father, pinned by a gaurd with a spear, and when Fade hit the ground, he saw the splayed out body of his father, with a spear in his neck. Fade, now all alone, escaped the battlefield and attempted to get back to the cave, but that required flying, so he couldn't. He took shelter in an old cave, using the bats as his only prey. It was hard to jump so high to catch them though. He drank out of a small pool, and deeper in the cave sometimes the bats would retreat, but he would never go there. Another day, Lily reappeared at the mouth of the cave. Fade didn't know that Lily was the one who smacked him off of the ledge. He thought he leaned too far and fell! Lily didn't rescue him though, instead, she cracked a stalagcite, and caused a cave-in.
