Instructions

Emily was back home, not in the R.V, but at her actual home. She clambered up the stairs to her bedroom and kept tripping because of the dark. The room was drenched in an eerie dark blue light. It was COLD, even colder than it was in Eva’s realm. Goosebumps prickled over her. Emily’s room was as it was left. Her Minecraft game on pause, her music playing, but it didn’t sound happy anymore, it sounded … odd, like just before a jump-scare in a movie. The walls seemed to close in on her. She tried turning on her light, but it didn’t work. Emily sat on her bed and started crying. There were no fake nice girls here to say ‘Oh Emily have you been crying. And no Are you okay? Why are you crying?’ . She felt someone or something staring at her. ‘ Eva’ Emily thought with no mercy. “Yes, yes I know, I was supposed to jump-scare you but whatever.” Eva sighed. “ This is coming into an end NOW” Emily demanded. “No. No trying to make me pity you” she said standing up. Eva staggered back a few steps in surprise. “Oh, I see. You’ve gathered your courage.” She said, her innocent grin turning into a vicious smile. Eva sat behind Emily and started combing her hair gently with her long, chipped claw-like fingernails which were painted deep black, was there anything on this woman that wasn’t black? “Don’t touch me!” Emily cried quietly, for some reason, her throat was twisted in a knot. “ But I CAN do what I want to remember? ” Eva laughed wickedly. Eva slashed Emily just below her right eye with her nails and she cried out with pain. Blood oozed from the cut and it was harder to see. ‘Light! I need a source of light!’ Emily thought. Then, just in a flicker of a second, there was a candle in Emily’s hand. Stunned, Emily smiled. “ How did you do THAT?!” Eva asked, definitely as shocked as Emily. “This is my dream” Emily said contemptuously. “I get to control it”. Then she smiled. Furious , Eva screamed an ear-splitting sound. “ NO! THAT IS NOT FAIR!! I WISHED FOR BEAUTY, I got freely, THEN I LOST IT FREELY!! I WISHED FOR LIFE!! THEN I LOST IT FREELY ! And I GOT IT FREELY BUT ALSO MURDERED MY MOTHER, atleats that's what my dad said... No one’s ever suffered for me…” She roared but whispered the last sentence so quietly that Emily could barely even hear her. A stab of pity hit at her. ‘She knows how to do it’ Emily thought frustrated . She glanced at her Minecraft game that was still on pause. ‘A sword! A diamond sword” She thought. Then with in a second, a diamond sword appeared in her hands. Eva screamed again, this time, even louder. Emily dropped the sword to cover her ears and it hit the ground, but Eva’s scream was too loud for it to be heard. Just as soon as Emily dropped the sword, Eva grabbed it and just missed Emily’s neck and accidently cut her hair up to her shoulders. “M… My… My hair!!!” Emily stammered. Baffled, and not knowing what to do, she grabbed the blade and as blood dribbled from her left palm, she pulled towards her, loosening Eva’s grip. Blood dripped and Emily’s whole body shivered in pain. Still, she clutched the sword tight. She glared at Eva, hoping that her glare would end her somehow, but it didn’t. She seized the sword in her good hand and with one quick movement, as her heart was pounding so hard it might as well as busted, she sliced through Eva’s ghostly figure. She screamed so loud that Emily was sure she would be deaf, and then after her scream, she… vanished, she flew outside her window and Emily dared to watch and there, in her backyard, she sunk under a Bloody Lily that seemed to be growing on her yard. Then, Emily fell to the floor with a thud,then the ground gave away and she fell. Fell to her death…
