UPDATE 3/17/14 ------- Thanks for dropping by.... 1. Use this project as a starting point - and IMPROVE!! Make your own remix.....Arrow Keys to move around.... Give points for apples, take away (lives) with crabs..... Work on the 'wall' functionality so you don't get stuck Then, Test, Test, Test...... Question - How do you "END" the game (Sprite, color the letters for "FINISH" differently, etc. Using your knowledge of PacMan and other similar games, along with your understanding and use of sensing blocks...Create some interactivity and then get ready to show off your talents.
** THIS Project is incomplete - it is your task to complete it - add challenges, rewards, prevent the sprites from moving through walls, etc. SCRATCH ON!! This was a great sample to take students into a project. By providing a partially completed project - students can see the intent, and quickly test, and improve functionality - rather than get 'blocked' trying to create something from scratch. The "Game" focus allows students to see what might be - and get quick feedback by getting to the 'testing' phase quickly and see how the logic testing can place students in the iterative cycle of improving code. Very quickly students ask, "Ok, I got this done - can I make it do this?", or " How do I change to more complex levels?"
