''ARE YOU GONNA DO THIS OR WHAT?!'' Malyssia asked me, but I guess I'd consider it yelling. ''Maybe... or not.'' I quietly said. ''You are an artist, you have to let your talent shine! Oh, and by the way, Nick dropped this off.'' She handed me a yellow packaged box, with a little note on the side. ''You might just be the only one with a crush this holiday season.'' ''He is not my crush! He is like a brother to me...'' I told her, but she rolled her eyes. I opened it. There inside was a set of paintbrushes and paints, the ones I'd wanted for so long but they were always too expensive to get. I gasped, and Malyssia rolled her eyes. ''You tell me he isn't, but it seems so...'' Looking at these paints, remembering the sweet smell of gingerbread and candy canes made me think back to those times when I first started to paint, when I was in need of customers. Now, I have too many customers and not enough love to put into every one of them. That got me thinking. ''You have more orders. Most of them are just the older people wanting a candy cane on their walls. Weirdos.'' She said, tapping my shoulder. Was that all? ''Hey, are there any other orders for, like, a Santa or maybe the occasional gingerbread house?'' I asked, and she shook her head. I tapped my chin. ''What if...'' Picking up the paintbrushes, an idea slowly formed in my mind. What if I created something different this holiday season? Something that would not only challenge my artistic abilities but also spread joy and excitement in the hearts of those around me. I could envision it - a magical mural depicting a whimsical winter wonderland, complete with Santa flying on his sleigh, surrounded by gingerbread houses and candy cane trees. With newfound determination, I set to work, letting my creativity flow freely onto the blank canvas. Each brushstroke felt like a dance, each color a melody coming to life. As the days passed, the mural began to take shape, exuding a warmth and charm that I had never experienced before. Finally, the day arrived when I unveiled my masterpiece to the world. The reactions were beyond anything I could have imagined - gasps of awe, smiles of delight, and even a few joyful tears. It seemed that my creation had touched something deep within each person who beheld it, bringing back memories of childhood wonder and holiday magic. As I stood back, basking in the glow of my mural and the happiness it brought, Malyssia hugged me tightly. ''I always knew you had it in you,'' she whispered, her eyes shimmering with pride. And in that moment, I knew that this was just the beginning of my journey as an artist - one filled with endless possibilities and the power to truly make a difference in the lives of others.
