☆about me☆ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ hi! my name is saturn [she/they] and i identify as a lesbian, im 14-18 years old and in the PST timezone. i've been a member for about 3-4 years i believe, that time was on an old account (@17yanna) which is now deleted, on @--honeyboba--, and now on this account. i love drawing, playing my instruments (flute, alto/tenor sax, guitar now!!), and listening to music :) ☆why would i be a good manager?☆ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) i've learned effective communication and leadership skills through multiple means. i've been camp counseling for about 3 years now where i've been taught how to lead and communicate as well as learning from experience. i've also been through multiple intensive therapy programs, teaching me many skills for effective communication 2) i've been involved with solving conflicts in the gaehive in the past, i worked to try to take down a troll with xen a bit ago, and discussed issues in depth with charlie 3) i always try my best to get all perspectives before forming an opinion, looking at things objectively, etc, i've gathered a couple screenshots from some things ive said offsite during the drama this summer which demonstrate these attributes of mine,, i'd be more than happy to send these screenshots to a manager offsite 4) andd most importantly[/j] i like girls, im one of em queers, a homosexual ☆downsides to me being a manager☆ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) i have a lot of people pleasing tendencies, leading to me trusting those i shouldn't, etc 2) i'm not the best at understanding and conveying social cues 3) i have definitely many mistakes when it comes to rules in the gaehive in the past, through a lot of reflection i realized i can't really depend on the hive for comfort when it comes to some non-scratch appropriate topics and have shifted my conversations to people i trust offsite and in person ☆what can i bring?☆ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) i'm very open about my mental health, i can bring attention to mental health issues as well as helping to cultivate an an environment where people may feel less alone and are willing to be more vulnerable in order to get help 2) i have so many ideas of events to bring to the hive! we could have events such as a virtual culture fair where different people can make projects educating people about their traditions and such, and games via comments ☆what would i improve?☆ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) there's a couple things i would change about the rules including more required trigger warnings 2) especially when i was younger, whenever i get a response to a comment i make in the hive from a manager its honestly such a great feeling and as a manager i would try to do the same to cultivate more positivity 3) I would love to work with anvi to make the POC Hive an official resource linked in the hive ☆who do i recommend☆ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ when i think of who would make a great manager, two people immediately come to mind: - i think this goes without saying but charlie () , he always trys to help people, responds to vent posts with comfort, offers, euphoria and so much more, not to mention he also created the concept for and completely managed GGTKEO, and is such an awesome cool slay person<3 - , Bo is literally so kind to everyone, seems very responsible, and she's definitly helped to contribute a lot to positive vibes in the hive and whenever I talk to her on the hive I feel so accepted and loved<3
