⊱┊Chapter 34 ⋆ Another Ball? Upon waking up, I immediately got dressed and went to breakfast. I had slept in by accident. Arriving in the Great Hall, I sat next to Athena and Genevieve. "Saved you something," Genevieve said, passing me a white envelope. "Hmm? What's this?" I asked. I looked around and noticed that almost everyone else had one too. Avery was groaning looking at hers. 'That doesn't make it sound like good news,' I thought. I opened the note and it was an announcement for an end of year dance. "Wait, why is Avery upset about this?" I wondered out loud. "Probably because we're going to have to have dancing lessons," Genevieve shrugged. "What?! But whyyyyyyyyy? I know how to dance," I complained. Athena and Pixie, who was sitting next to Athena, laughed at my reaction. I shot Athena a death glare, mixed with tired teenager and don't-laugh-at-me. Genevieve grabbed my attention and gestured to Avery. Charles from the Quidditch team was sharing Oreos with her. "Oh, my, stars," I said, under my breath. "I'm shipping them now," Genevieve said, proudly. "Since when do you ship people?" "Welp, let's see, I joined a fandom called Undertale, I was already part of the Miraculous fandom, and I was forced into the MyStreet fandom." "Wut." "I'm gonna make fanart now....... Byeeeeeeeee." Genevieve walked away. "What just happened?" I asked the universe, slightly hoping it would respond. Paige responded instead, "I think she just spoke my language. I love Aphmau." "Who?" I asked. Paige gasped, dramatically, "I've wanted to be your... friend, for a while, but if I'm gonna have to introduce Aphmau and her series to you... er, I don't know where I was going with that." "Wait, you've never seen Aphmau? I had online binge sessions with Pixie all the time when I was younger," Athena said. "I remember I had to beg my parents to let me buy a Muggle phone," Pixie added. Athena and Pixie laughed like it was an old joke they had remembered. There was a bit of a silence after, mainly because we were actually eating. "Do you have anyone you want to ask you or that you want to ask?" Athena asks me. "To the ball?" I question. "No, to the bathroom, what do you think?" Athena says sarcastically. "Ha, ha, very funny," I say. "So do you?" Athena asks. "Eh, not really," I lied. Honestly, I was kinda hoping Peter would ask me. Or Nathaniel. 'Ha, not Nathaniel. He's too much of a gossip or whatever,' I thought. 'Though he is tall and decently attractive. Not enough for me, though. I have high expectations, not tall ones.'
