This little guy’s been sitting in my pile of DnD characters for quite a while (I think he was the… third? maybe fourth, character I made). I’m so happy to finally be in a campaign where I can play him! I don’t fully have his personality figured out… but that’s what role-play’s for right? :3 Anyway, he’s a sweet little thief child, probably got some trauma as ocs do, yeah! Oh! I got a little bit of backstory for you! But before that, might I say that I’m VERY proud of this project. Not really ‘cause of the character or art or anything, but because of the coding. It’s been a while since I’ve done any coding other than the basic “when this sprite clicked, next costume” and I realized how fun it is! It does require brain work, but it’s a fun kind of brain work. :) Anywho, enjoy the backstory! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Backstory] I don’t have a lot for him; I usually keep DnD backstories pretty open in case I need to squish them around to fit the campaign. But I do have some existing lore for him! ‘Kay, so, Kayden is an orphan; whether ‘cause his parents died or abandoned him, idk (leaning more towards abandon…). He’s a very poor child and is a thief or “street rat” if you will. He has a group of fellow homeless kids that he sometimes hangs around (I imagine they’ve got a home base/hideout that they threw together, but Kayden does most of his work on his own). He doesn’t always steal, though; he can sometimes get some work from shop owners who then give him food or money or something. When he does steal, he only steals from the rich (or well off) and shares his loot with the other kids. His town isn’t super great; it’s very nice and cozy, but there are a few gangs/crime syndicates that are pretty active (mostly at night). Kayden occasionally has to take jobs from a very powerful leader of one of those groups and happens to be in a lot of debt to her (I originally have her planned to be a girl, but it doesn’t really matter for this campaign). He also may or may not have a long lost sister? Idk for sure though.
All art of Kayden is my freehanded work This character is mine created by using the DnD 5e character manual
