I'm am unaware of any bitrate limit for sound in the scratch editor but if there isn't any, this is what the first 2 bars of my experimental song "me" sounds like at various Bitrates. The number shown on the screen shows the amount of kBits in the bitrate for the Mp3 I downloaded. I downloaded 13 different bitrates that MuseScore allowed me to download at. I will say though that all Mp3s are 48000hrtz and normalized. Some time in the future, I plan to make other versions of this project but the Mp3s are at 44100hrtz or 32000hrtz. "what does 48000 hertz mean in an Mp3" "48000 Hertz" in an MP3 refers to the sampling rate of the audio, meaning that the audio is captured by taking 48,000 samples per second, which is commonly expressed as "48kHz" - a standard used in professional audio and video, particularly for DVD formats where it is the preferred sampling rate; essentially, the higher the Hz number, the more detailed the sound can potentially be captured. Key points about sampling rate: Higher sample rate = more detail: A higher Hz number means more "snapshots" of the sound wave are taken per second, leading to potentially better sound quality. Standard for MP3s: Most MP3s use a sampling rate of 44.1kHz, which is considered CD quality. Why 48kHz is used sometimes: For video production and DVD creation, 48kHz is often preferred due to its compatibility with video frame rates. "what does a bitrate mean in an Mp3" A "bitrate" in an MP3 refers to the amount of audio data used to represent the sound per second, essentially determining the quality of the audio file; a higher bitrate indicates better sound quality but also results in a larger file size. Key points about bitrate: Measurement: Bitrate is measured in kilobits per second (kbps). Higher quality: A higher bitrate generally means better audio quality because more data is used to represent the sound. File size impact: A higher bitrate results in a larger MP3 file. Example: A 128kbps MP3 will have a lower audio quality than a 320kbps MP3, but the 320kbps file will also be significantly larger.
