- A little bit about you, including how long you've been a member, and your timezone -Hello guys :3 My name is Evan and I use he/it pronouns. I am a transgender femboy and my timezone is EST. I have been a member of the hive since September of 2023. My current fixations are objectified and lolita fashion, I also have interests in fashion of any sort, horror/sci fi genres, vocaloid, and art. - I am 14 years old and I am active almost all throughout the day, even during school. I am usually awake from 8am-11pm EST and can be active throughout any of those times. I am usually less active from 4pm-8pm - Why you would be a good manager 1. I am very active. Almost too active if I do say so. This means I can be around for most conflicts when they arise. 2. I have experience managing online spaces. I have been managing spaces offsite and on scratch, the p2025 studio. I also run the hive’s bedrock-creative minecraft server. (Please join it, we need more members or it will shut down.) 3. I love educating people on issues within the LGBTQ community, “weird” or contradictory identities, and transgender issues specifically. I’m trying to learn more myself and help as many people as I can. I also know quite a bit about plural and otherkin experiences, which I see cause some confusion on the hive. I am not plural myself but I am alterhuman. 4. When discourse happens I try my best to explain to anyone who’s confused, or misunderstanding. I’m good at calmly arguing, and I’m working on trying to calm down drama. - Downsides to you being a manager 1. I’m often tempted to reply to trolls, and if I’m in a bad mood I get angry very easily. I could be insensitive or passive aggressive if there is discourse, and I'm likely to take a side and stick to it. 2. I procrastinate a lot, so if there are projects we have to get done I might not chip in the help that's needed on my own.
- Unique things you could bring to the position I’m fictkin and alterhuman, which i dont think a lot of managers currently are. I’m also transhet/bistraight I don’t see a lot that sets me apart otherwise except for. Oh right I experience delusions. They’re not the kind that would impact my management but they have shaped me as a person. And no they haven’t stopped. I can recognize but not change/stop them. It’s likely that I have a psychotic disorder. - What you would improve about the Gaehive if you were promoted I really want to make everyone feel the way I do about the hive. I see a lot of people on here as friends almost automatically, a judgment free place and just a wholesome, positive chatroom. Some things that would foster the community: 1. Encouraging people to participate in bandwagons, give others euphoria (I notice a lot of people don’t give euphoria because they don’t know what to say. We could make a general guide of things to include if they don’t know the person requesting euphoria) 2. Community building activities! They should be something that nearly everyone can participate in. Some I remember that I liked were the singing competition, tile thumbnails, and gaehive prom. 3. Defusing arguments and drama. Both of these tend to separate the hive and what would help the most is providing the facts on what happened clearly, and closing comments if it’s needed. 4. Encouraging people to report positive karma. It seems like people don’t report positive comments to the managers, leading to us never reaching karma goals. I recommend because he has worked on projects and ideas to improve the hive, like the gaehive demographic survey, rebooting hivezine, etc. I also recommend because he is very kind to members, he interacts with everyone equally and he is a good voice of reason.
