Okay, I have gathered some evidence of the “Featherstar has blinded her own kit” theory. Although I don't know how old the kits are, its accuracy can be debated. Since kittens eyes are undeveloped and still sensitive to light when they are born, if Featherstar forcefully opened ???kit's eyes it could cause serious damage, something everyone goes against if you search for information upon it. I looked it up, and it could give them eye infections as they haven't fully developed tear ducts. Although I doubt the kitten would've gone blind so early, it is completely possible. Also, keep in mind that this is a comic, and effects that happen would be rather fast and cartoon-ish. ???kit's eyes could be a stylistic choice by the comic's creator, Meadow. This could just be their way of drawing the kit's eyes, or trying to hint it to people. Of course, it is the most common way artists draw people's eyes who are blind for the benefit of the reader. So again, keep that in mind. Also, if you remember, Featherstar talks about divorcing Redeye and the fact that they were the one to ask for the divorce. This is the second image in the project, if you click! The two cats were still married before this, and in Chapter 74's timeline. Forcing ???kit's eyes open could've been the icing on the cake for Redeye to leave Featherstar because she blinded their child. We all know Featherstar is currently off her rocker, and if you read the original warrior cats with Firestar, she's acting a bit like Bluestar, who started to grow paranoid. Featherstar practically fought Redeye for the right to name her daughter over her eyes and wasn't willing to give up her sick children until much persuasion. She was left completely and utterly alone, suspecting her kits' deaths. She wanted to name them. I can also disprove my theory! If you look through the project, you can see another kit has opened their eyes! That's Pepperkit, with the blue eyes. So this could mean she opened them naturally, and my theory is junk. But at the same time, that could mean that all the cats wouldn't suspect Featherstar and that she'd thought it would be okay to open ???kit's eyes, damaging them. In all, it could be natural or Featherstar, but I lean towards the latter. Thank you for reading, this is the end of my Ted-Talk. Also, I've finally shown my love for this comic! It's brilliant, and I adore it. Thank you to MeadowFoot_ToPH for making it, you are amazing! Tschüss!
