imma be pulling out the proper grammar and capitalization for this one B) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ A lot of people use Spotify for their primary source of music. I got Spotify about 5 months ago, and I've been using it quite a bit. I used to use Pandora. When I downloaded the app, I was really excited to try it out. Everyone's always using Spotify, so it must be good, right? Yeah, no. Spotify is absolutely horrible for one reason- ads. Although they have Spotify Premium, I'd like to say that not everyone has the money to waste on music apps like Spotify. Every two songs, you'll get 5 ads. It's really annoying. I will say this about the ads though: it's MUCH better on PC. When you use Spotify on mobile, ads become a big issue. If you use it on a computer, ads are wayyy less frequent, and you can actually select what song you want to listen to- WITHOUT UPGRADING. On mobile, if you press the song you want to play, they'll play it on "shuffle". Meaning that you'll never hear the song you originally selected, just songs that are similar to it. On a tablet or an iPad, it's okay. Better than mobile, not as good as PC. Seriously though, I think Spotify is way too overhyped. If you have premium? Great!! 10/10, 5 stars, great app. But as I mentioned, not everyone has that kind of money. That's the only thing that bugs me about Spotify. I do really like how many choices of music you have, and the Spotify Wrapped stuff is fun. Anyways, moving on from Spotify! Next music app is Pandora. I use Pandora often, and I seriously love it. The ads aren't too common, they have quite a few songs (though not a selection as diverse as Spotify's), and you get a whole lot of good features without having to upgrade. For example, you get multiple skips and replays, while on Spotify, there's no loop if you don't have premium, and skips are limited. On Pandora, if you run out of skips, you can watch an ad for more. You can listen to radios for free, but to listen to specific songs, you need to watch an ad. All the ads are only 15 second long, so that's doable and better than whatever the hell Spotify offers (cough, 5 30 second ads, cough). The only thing I don't like about Pandora is the slightly lower selection of music. I can't find some really obscure indie videogame artists :(( but that's honestly fine by me, the ads are wayyy less disruptive. There IS a limit to the amount of ads you can watch, but it's honestly not bad at all- I've only reached the limit twice in my many years of using it. Now next music app: YouTube Music. Honestly, it's not bad. But I have literally used this app twice in my entire life, and the reason is pretty simple: my phone has a time limit. YouTube Music is connected to YouTube. If you have YouTube Premium, you can use YT Music and the music will keep running even after you turn off your phone. If you don't have premium, the music turns off the second you turn off your phone. YT Music does have certain animation memes though (if it identifies it as music), so that's cool. I don't really like it though. Anyways, it's 2:16 AM and I should be getting to bed, so thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Au revoir :D
crappy formatting, doodles, grammar, and everything else by yours truly :) P.S. - i actually use spotify more than pandora because. well i can watch hazbin and helluva and other YTers when my parents block YT =D
