One or two easy inputs at most Easy (1): Anyone who knows the basics of Appel can play this. Often gimmick or joke levels. Medium (2): A challenge for beginners. A bit tricky at most. Hard (3): Usually rather long but fun. One of my best levels, Facility 49, is of this difficulty. Harder (3.5): Harder than Hard. Self-explanatory. Difficult (4): More advanced techniques including wall climbing can be found at this difficulty Intense (5): Difficulty persists over a long period of time by now. Remorseless (6): Mistakes become extremely costly. - Soul Crushing - Insane (7): Rather tough. Probably requires decent knowledge of Appel. Insane EX (7.5): Even harder than Insane. A bit too short to be Extreme, though. Madness (8): Unfair setups, setupless spikejumps, etc. Extreme (9): Only my hardest levels are of this difficulty. Xtreme (10): The hardest difficulty… or is it? - The Point of No Return - ??????? (11): … Impossible (12): ;) Ascended (13): Inputs are on another level, with most of them requiring inhuman precision TAS (14): No explanation needed for this difficulty.
