Hit space to go to the next costume. This one's actually not Borg, but a Mettaton dystopia. Sounds great. And I turned it into an entire AU. Q: Multiple Mettaton AUs already exist. What makes this one different? A: Most of those AUs are simply jokes or Mettaton obsessing (yeah, need help much?), whereas this is a full-fledged dystopia story involving Mettaton being persuaded by an outside force to overthrow Asgore and rule over the Underground, and thus Frisk carries the entire fate of the place on their shoulders. It is thus SO much more than "au where everyones mettaton lololol!!!1!!!!" Now do you see? Let's say that Papyrus (maybe with a different name) is King Mettaton's right-hand man, who keeps all the other monsters in line. He is a very sadistic punisher and sometimes through his torture has left monsters unable to do the job they were assigned, only to punish them again for their "laziness." (Sorry, I can't draw people rubbing their hands together.) Sans is a lowly cafeteria man in the army barracks. It is a very humorless and boring job, and he hates it, on top of missing his brother greatly. That smile you see there is just cybernetic implants. Alphys is the surgeon in charge of giving the monsters their cybernetic implants, aided by her laser eye and extra arms tipped with surgical instruments (left to right: forceps, drill, magnifying glass, syringe, saw, vice/gripper.) She often feels a great deal of pity for her patients, but keeps doing her job out of fear of going through a round of Papyrus's torture devices, which she herself designed. (Under the lab coat/robe is her date dress, by the way. It's different in this universe.) And finally, Frisk has been given the task of overthrowing Mettaton and his oppressive monarchy. He must do this by resurrecting Asriel to help him on his quest. When they fell into the Underground, they landed in Snowdin and were almost nabbed by some of Mettaton's soldiers until Toriel (who went into hiding) rescued them and took them to the Ruins, where they learned to fight. They were then led to Alphys, who upon learning of their quest gave them cybernetic implants (mechanical wings and weapons in hands and eyes) to assist them on their journey. They continued on, meeting monster after monster and giving them hope in this dark age. However, as the news began to spread, it reached the ears of Mettaton and Papyrus, who began plotting Frisk's demise. Will Frisk bring Asriel back to life and defeat Mettaton, or will he become completely and hopelessly brainwashed, forever serving the king without question? It is up to you. BONUS: Now, I have added UNDYNE to the mix! Undyne is still the Captain of the Royal Guard (since Papyrus moved to a position higher than being in the Guard at all), and is currently hunting down a rebel group led by Gaster, and Toriel, who are both in hiding. Recently, however, she has turned her attention towards Frisk, and she has heard that they will come in her general direction soon. So Undyne lies in wait, ready to spring out and brainwash the child. On special occasions, Undyne will attach a cape to the ends of her shoulder pauldrons, similar to Papyrus. Her eyes also flash colors when she feels like she's winning. BONUS 2: Mettaton took over the Underground and overthrew Asgore with help from an outside source, that may have ordered him to do this in the first place. The first thing he did as king was to attempt to murder Gaster, Toriel, and others who opposed him, however, they escaped and are now in hiding. Afterwards, he ordered that Alphys use her knowledge of robotics to give every citizen of the Underground cybernetic implants fashioned after him, and that she upgrade his own body to give him a more fearsome appearance. After hearing that Frisk is out to overthrow him, he is sending all of his most powerful minions (including Papyrus and Undyne) out to take him down. BONUS 3: Chara is a less major villain in this AU, and instead of being made into a cyborg, they are a hacker, and often interfere with the various robots and cyborgs and make them malicious towards the protagonist. Q: Can you make some boss themes for these characters? A: You can use the same stuff as is used for Underfell, go look it up on YouTube, it's easy. Here are a few to get you started (not necessarily for these characters): Papyrus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEf8vATd_6s Sans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brcq7SYdNUI Undyne: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i20l33MA5vE Muffet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIIH9pRn13Q Alternate Papyrus theme (Demoncore): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wulueUshLF4 Alternate Papyrus theme (Sharax): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Os7eR7vNj4g And the figurehead king of this dystopia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSICrQwJvDc Perhaps a meeting theme (like sans. or Nyeh Heh Heh): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJMRqSXeiR8
Here you go, for dav2014. FAN ART AND COMMENT RP-ING OF THIS IS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY WELCOME! (However, only I and some selected others will control the canon-AU characters here.)
