After you press the green flag there are instructions. If you miss them (somehow) you can always press the green flag again! The rest of the game is pretty straightforward. Anything with a black outline is a piece of furniture or a wall. The snacks will have a white glow surrounding them. The cat has a white glow in front of it because of its line of sight.
