TOC ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Territory Description and How They Utilize It - Physical/Build Description - Clan Specific Abilities - Common/Permitted Pelt Coloring - RoseClan Prey and Predators - General Clan Personality and Customs - Extra Info/ In Depth Descriptions on Customs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TERRITORY ❀ RoseClan resides in a very gorgeous and open flower meadow that has very few willow trees here and there, mainly by the river that cuts through all four clans' territory, said river is used by all four clans for a variety of things, RoseClan specifically, however, mixes water with a flower-petal poultice to create dye, as they often dye parts of or most of their fur to blend in with their colorful, floral territory. Their camp resides in a ravine/canyon at the very heart of their territory. Their dens are all caves with flowering vines hanging down over the entrances. The cats of RoseClan are very good at weaving with their paws and often make flower crowns as tokens of affection or using specific types of flowers to show status. (List of these in notes and credits) ❀ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PHYSICAL BUILD ❀ RoseClan cats all have sleek, agile, nimble bodies, as they do a lot of running through their meadows to catch prey, they're also usually pretty small to medium in size, as being too large would make climbing to places in their canyon difficult. RoseClan codeword is Tulip. They also have long, hooked claws to help with climbing the canyon and willow trees, making them formidable fighters as well. They have long, flexible tails to help them balance when climbing, also making them more agile. ❀ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CLAN SPECIFIC ABILITIES ❀ RoseClan cats, due to living among so many different herbs and flowers, have a much more heightened healing knowledge than the other clans, and FrostClan will often send cats to trade prey for herbs due to RoseClan's overabundance and FrostClan's lack. RoseClan uses a lot of herbs and even potions made by mixing herbs with water and honey than the other clans do, due to a lot of plants and flowers being only native to their meadow, and all clans have been known to visit RoseClan if a cat gains an unheard of illness. RoseClan medicine cats also are known to lay soothing flowers or plant soothing scented flowers in the medicine den to calm patients. RoseClan cats are also very well adapted to camouflage in their territory, their pelts being brightly colored as well as multicolored and, as previously mentioned, dyed in some cases. RoseClan cats center a lot of their energy around the sun, often sunbathing and being more active in sunnier days. Their eyes also match this brightly colored quality, giving them an almost ethereal appearance with eyes coming in normal colors but also lavenders and other unique colors. RoseClan cats also have a very heightened sense of smell, due to living around so much pollen and floral scents, their sense of smell has been heightened greatly. ❀ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COMMON/PERMITTED PELT COLORING ❀ RoseClan cats very commonly have brightly colored pelts, coming in whites, gingers, creams, and other bright colors, though sometimes you'll get a darker colored cat and oftentimes they become the medicine cat due to hunting and hiding from predators being so difficult with their darker pelts, and it's preferred if they don't have kits so they don't pass that gene on. RoseClan cats also very often have multicolored pelts, coming in calicos and torbies and the like, or having dappled or mottled patterns. They also will often dye certain markings to be bright, unnatural colors to look like the flowers in their territory. Say there's a silver tabby with white paws, underbelly, and tail, often she will dye those markings to be some bright color like pink or lavender, though rarely do they dye their whole pelt. (If you have something specific to request, you may do so, though I have full right to decline if I feel it doesn't fit RoseClan culture) ❀ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ROSECLAN PREY AND PREDATORS ❀ RoseClan preys on shrews and field mice, and less commonly rabbits, as well as various species of songbirds, and pheasants and quails, as well as frogs and fish from the river and lizards in the hotter months. ❀ ❀ Common RoseClan predators include foxes, badgers, hawks and owls, though the larger warriors have been trained to jump high enough to take down these large birds so sometimes they become a prey item. Coyotes and cougars also pose a large threat to RoseClan when they venture onto the territory, but oftentimes a cougar passing through will steer clear of the camp. ❀ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
