⭒ ┈┈┈┈ ♡ ┈┈┈┈ ⭒ SAMEDREAM Labels - The Story By: Yume @yumetopia / @yumeverse ⭒ ┈┈┈┈ ♡ ┈┈┈┈ ⭒ I honestly don’t even know how to start this lol- like- I joined S-pop way back in early 2023, and if my memory isn’t failing me I believe I got introduced to it near the end of 2022, but never fully got around to being involved until 2023, which was when I made my spop account and persona, Nabi @-nabi-official-! I started auditioning for groups and companies, but most of them just went inactive before I could even debut ;o; The one group that did continue I think I ended up not doing the lines for some reason, but yeah, it was not the best from there. I did have a lot of fun though- but that came with the price of just not fully being me. I still feel like I could have done a lot more if I never decided to have a separate persona for s-pop, but the past is quite unfortunately the past, and I’ve since then moved on- i think i’m going off topic here :,)) Anyways!! Even if I did use a separate account and name for my idol activities, I still started my first company under my main account at the time, @cs4438815. The company, which you miight know of, is @YB_Entertainment, with the name completely and utterly stolen from the irl roleplay company that I had, long before I found that S-pop existed. The reason I even joined S-pop in the first place was because I was intrigued that other people also have similar concepts, and actually have it in action with a whole community of people, so I thought it’d be nice to also be a part of it. And it was probably pretty expected of me to start a company in s-pop as well, since… I already had a name and logo at that point xD Managing a company is quite stressful, I’ll say that- I’ve ranted on my profile and everything, but it’s true- people just keep leaving on no notice. Like, I get it, life is hard, but then again, in past Yume’s words- if you’re not going to commit, then s-pop isn’t for you. But even with that, organization and everything is still a tough load for one person to carry, so I’m really glad to have met Sooeun along the way, who helped so much with the company as the co-CEO. Though, things took an unexpected turn- maybe two, or even three. I steered away from the community for a bit after the auditions for two supposedly upcoming groups, STARISE and JewelliZ, which were never finished. Few months passed, and I came back to try reliving the company by sharing auditions for the groups, but I lost motivation once again and the company was since then, pretty much left to dust. ... ⭒ ┈┈┈┈ ♡ ┈┈┈┈ ⭒
⭒ ┈┈┈┈ ♡ ┈┈┈┈ ⭒ ... Though, YB did have a sub-label, Dream Labels, on which I tried to host auditions for a 12-member LOONA lookalike group. I had such high hopes for that group, but ultimately managing all of those auditions was just- way too difficult, especially with just one opinion it was very hard to decide and finalize 12 members. Now, if you asked me now to choose 12 out of like- around 30 auditions, yes, I could most definitely do that, but in terms of a year and a half ago (that was grade 8 :sob: that makes it sound so far back), my own singing wasn’t that great either. And then that company also kind of fell apart…! But that wasn’t the end of Dream Labels- not yet, at least. 2024 came along, and so did new beginnings. Sooeun and I decided to, again, try hosting auditions for a new group. This was, supposedly, the largest girl group project in S-pop history- if we could somehow make it happen. I’ll give it to you, I’m not that ambitious with big groups, so that part was not exactly my idea :,) It was going pretty great at the start, we were getting quite a few auditions and I was really hoping this one would work out, after the- countless fails I’ve encountered in the past. To no one’s surprise, it didn’t. It was getting to the point that having /this much/ people was way too hard to manage, especially with both of us having to do SWC around the time as well. (btw, you should totally join that if you haven’t yet- i’d explain more but that’s also going off track aha) Then, Sooeun went on a hiatus, and I really couldn’t manage all of that by myself, especially since I, admittedly, probably didn’t help enough in the sense the workload was split perfectly to start with. And as sad as I was to see yet another possibly great idea just crumble before my eyes. That experience was probably really what had taken it all out of me. I’d realised all these places I could improve on as a CEO, though a bit late, and I still really didn’t want to give up. Towards the end of the summer, both of us were up and active again (I was pretty much off for July since I was on a month-long trip), and that’s when Sooeun approached me with the idea of a restart. At first, my mind was like, ‘Are you crazy?? Do you not remember how last time went??’ Still, I had that guilt in me from previously, and maybe, I could redeem myself(?) And from there, Dream Labels was rebranded to SAMEDREAM Labels @SAMEDREAM_LABELS, in which the account is owned by Sooeun, since she’s technically the one who sparked the restart (and you’re not legally allowed to share accounts- I haven’t logged into the DL account in ages though anyways asjhklsag). I’m honestly really happy and hopeful on what we have now- (the old DL logo was really bad :SOB:) As of me writing this we have officially restarted ASTRXS, starting over completely with the group, as well as running a survival show, Planet: PRISM, and a trainee program as well. Yes, it’s quite a bit, but my journey through S-pop has taught me a lot of things- lots of things that would have helped me out by a LOT if I knew all of it just starting out, and now things are going pretty great. So… yeah! That’s about it for the company story of SDL, as well has some Yume background information. I joined this community when I was 13- Now, according to the survey hosted by @spop-weekly, that seems to be the majority of what makes up our current s-pop comm. I just want to get it out there that, you’re not going to get anywhere if you just keep shifting your goals. Don’t take on more than you can handle- quality is far more important than quantity. Instead of spending your time on three predebut groups and a bunch of soloists, plus staff applications and a survival show (yes, that was what I did when I first started YB :sob: never again-), just start small. Though, if you have the time and dedication, just go for it, I’m not denying anyone to have that ability. Alright, I think I may have gone overboard again ^^;; Thank you so much for reading! If you’ve read this entire passage… wow. I- I probably won’t have the patience to read through this whole thing again to check if I missed anything, so really, thank you. ~ Yume <3 ⭒ ┈┈┈┈ ♡ ┈┈┈┈ ⭒ Original idea by: @ROSEVINE_Records As an afternote, our company has been through quite a bit (I mean- It should be pretty given with the fact that Yume and I have both written full-on essays on SDL up until this point lol). Thank you, Yume, for entrusting me with the company, and to all of you out there supporting our vision. ⭒ ┈┈┈┈ ♡ ┈┈┈┈ ⭒ © 2024 SAMEDREAM LABELS All rights reserved.
