As did most kits do, he had done nothing wrong upon being born. He was the eldest child in his family. He had three younger siblings and two younger sisters. His mother had died after he had become a buck, dying due to a lethal sickness. His father became cold and harsh on his children, keeping his sisters free from any harm but also perventing them from doing anything themselves, making them completely dependent on the males of the family, promoting toxic masculinity in their royal family and the dynasty itself Robynmartyr (Cherry's father) had eventually perished, no one lives forever. Robynmartyr hadn't chosen a heir though, he had died feeling like he was immortal, that he had to live for the dynasty to succed. This lack of having a heir caused the royal males to be thrown into a civil war. Cherry had two sisters, Cameilla and Cardinal and three brothers, Carnelian, Cranberry and Cadence. Cherry and his brothers fought blood and claw for the throne. Cherry had won the fight, manipulating the majority of the dynasty into supporting him. In the process, he ended up accidently killing Cranberry and Carnelian. He then exiled his last remaining brother to the ancient forest Cherrymartyr had taken on the name of a leader and intensified the rules in the dynasty to validate his rule. He took away more rights from the doe and had made sure to make it clear that he would not tolerant disobedience. As the clan was further divided, Cherrymartyr had made his rules more controlling for the fear of an uprising. Cats were divided off the religious polices that Cherrymartyr had enforced, dividing the clan into believers and non-believers. Likewise, his rules regarding biological gender raised more controversy as saintinists and morphoists (as well as the neutral party) as the clan experienced more splits. Cherrymartyr had done this very intentionally, knowing that if he labeled the groups, he'd know who to trust and whose loyalty he had. He eventually had found a cat who he liked. Docile and soft and sweet, everything he could ever want. While she wasn't exactly for Cherrymartyr, she went along with it, being loyal enough to the dynasty to not protest. Cherrymartyr to this day doesn't understand the lack of love between them. Cherrymartyr's mate was expecting his kits.
