<NOTICE>_ Please read notes and credits before you learn how to play. Controls: Control your character with the up and down arrows. The meter at the top of the screen indicates how hydrated you are. Prevent total dehydration by touching the good wells (the ones that have water inside) However, there are obstacles you need to avoid. You will encounter many old wells that will collapse beneath you if go near them (the wells that look older and dried up). Additionally, you will need to steer clear of tents. If you have any questions about the controls or the Tuareg, please ask in the comment section below.
<PLEASE READ>_ I made this game to spread awareness about the Tuareg people of West Africa, and their constant struggle to find water. This game is supposed to represent their problem, but the only difference between this game and the Tuareg's fight for water is that it is much easier to get water in this game. Please read below to learn more about who the Tuareg are, and to more deeply comprehend their problem. The Tuareg are indigenous people of the Sahara, the world's largest desert. They are one of the poorest and most isolated peoples of the world, and one of most militarized. These traditionally pastoral people have had to give up their herding lifestyle do to several droughts in the recent years which has also forced many of them to trek for days just to find water to live. Today, some Tuareg are going insane trying to find water, some moving into shanty towns, sacrificing their traditions and livelihoods. Others leave with no choice but to fight for fundamentalist groups, such as Al Qaeda. This lack of water isn't just hurting the Tuareg people, but also their herds, who because of the lack of water, are becoming dehydrated and dying. So now many Tuareg not only just have no water, but they also no more food, as their previous food source is now gone.
