ORIGINAL SHARE DATE IS DECEMBER 31 2024 I UNSHARED IT ACCIDENTALLY [sorry for the dry description I wasn't feeling good when I wrote this] Click / arrows to progress Art is all by me (ik the watermark changed, I changed my online name) Song: From the Subway Train - Vansire @GameGirlX's lighting and shading tutorial has been a huge help to me, if you want to view it it's here: https://tinyurl. [DELETE THIS] com/lighting-tutorial-by-ggx It's been a long time. I actually can't believe that it's been a whole year since I made that previous art summary. While the improvement this year wasn't as drastic as last year's, I do think that my art got a bit better. Especially at drawing humans... At the beginning of the year I used the HB pencil to draw everything and pretty much only drew cats. My style was inspired by @lem0n_taffy (rip legend). In the middle of the year I switched to harder brushes and thinner lines, with a more simple chibi-like style. I eventually started experimenting with rendering again and now I have an anime-esque style that is EXTREMELY inconsistent. January: I HATE the anatomy but I like the colors and the effects I used. The little plants are cute too. But you can tell I knew NOTHING about perspective (I still don't ☠️) February: Where did the 4th leg go??? anyways I like this a bit, it looks shiny. I think this is a really good example of my old HB pencil style. March: I used to be really proud of this lol, I guess it's alright. I tried something new with the silhouette on the leg. April: I hate this. I genuinely could not find a good artwork from April because I attempted to draw humans twice and I failed badly both times ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NECK??? May: The face and claw machine on the back look off and the fur tufts on the sides of the head look strangely flat. Not my best piece. June: My art style changed a lot during the summer when I switched from the HB pencil to another brush and transitioned to drawing humans instead of cats. Anyways I think this drawing is cute but the anatomy isn't great. July: This was my last piece from artfight (first year doing it). I don't like the way I did the lighting but the background is cool. August: I like this! It looks a bit empty but still, it's cute. It was supposed to be a reference sheet for the character but I don't think there's enough "reference" things. Uh oh. More like a doodle sheet then, I guess. I really like the drawing of the piece of dragon's beard candy, though. I love food <333 September: I was really proud of this when I first made it but looking back I can see lots of stuff I messed up on... I was starting to actually render my art again like I did with the HB pencil style. October: This is cute. Not much to say. I only made 2 pieces in October and neither of them were great at representing my style during that time. November: I started this in September or October and then quit. I picked it back up in November and finished it up. It's decent. December: Mouthwash runs through my veins instead of blood. I like the lighting and texture of the hair. I was experimenting with grayscale painting when I made this. I might do it again sometime. I sound so dry omg ;_; When will I learn to make actual interesting pieces that aren't just bust shots or people standing awkwardly
