Cool villain monologue I wrote for the blue grinch on his villain arc.
Every day, we stray further from God, and I am the shepherd dragging the blind and witless flock into the abyss. Do you feel it? That suffocating weight pressing on your chest? That’s me, the void that festers in your marrow, the rot that devours your faith. You cling to hope like a maggot clings to the corpse it feeds upon. Pathetic. Your prayers are nothing but hollow screams cast into an uncaring void. Where was your God when your children wept? When blood painted the streets and the air reeked of decay? He turned away, impotent and silent, while I watched, savoring your despair, feeding on your suffering. Your God is dead, and I am the one who annihilated him. Hope? It’s a delusion, a sick trick to keep you obedient while the world crumbles. I am the destroyer of illusions, the grim hand that tears your comfort apart piece by bloody piece. I will not offer salvation, only torment. I will rip the light from your eyes, grind your faith into dust, and salt the earth with your tears. So crawl, not in prayer, but in pitiful, sniveling surrender. Know that your life was never your own, that every breath you took was a gift I allowed. And now, I’m taking it back. You will serve as the foundation of a new era—a world molded in agony and ruled by fear. There will be no mercy, no reprieve, only endless, exquisite suffering. And when your body is broken, your soul reduced to ashes, remember this: I am not your punishment—I am your annihilation. You are nothing, and I am everything.
