please do not read this until you are done viewing the project!! > The meaning of this project may be a little unclear to some, especially (SPOILERS AHEAD!!) the email, so here is an explanation if you are confused. 1. The email >> the email that you received when you click on the computer for the first time says that "it's been years" and everyone misses you. This is meant to show the effect of constantly being online where you are exposed to many good things, and things that help you find your interests more easily, but also more hate and discrimination than I have ever seen. The internet can be a good place, but it can also be cruel. In fact, I went through a time where I was online more than I ever have been, and it was because I had been feeling really sad about life and was trying to use the internet to escape. In reality, my life was very good, I just had some issues regarding anxiety that I needed to resolve. However, while being online made me laugh at memes or funny videos, it also exposed me to people who spread hate just because they can. This eventually made my struggles worse, and the place I was using as an escape began to turn on me. I started to think that the world was a horrible place filled with hate and hate alone, because that was what I was exposing myself to every day. I am doing better now, but I think everybody should limit the amount of time they spend online and do things in real life that make you happy more often. That being said, it is also healthy to be online for a small amount of time, because if you look in the right places, it can make you happy sometimes. Just remember that not everything is bad, and if you keep letting yourself focus on the bad stuff, it will seem like that's all that there is, but that is wrong.
