LAST CHAPTER: Crystal finds her long-lost cousin, Fern, in Bunnypaw Academy. ————————————————————————— At recess, Crystal trotted to the big tree in the center of Bunnypaw Academy Park and waited for Fern. She soon spotted the dark green pelt of her cousin coming toward her. “Fern!” She yelled. “Over here!” “Hi, Crystal!” Fern said as she ran over to where Crystal was standing. She acted like she was happy, but Crystal could see worry in Fern’s eyes. “What’s wrong?” Crystal asked. Fern took a breath and said, “Today I returned from the nurse’s office just in time to hear Mr. Hart announce that we would be getting our tests in a week. I’m afraid that I won’t pass.” Crystal thought for a second. “How about I help you with some moves?” She offered. Fern perked up. “That would be great,” she said. “Thank you!” Crystal smiled. “Which move do you feel is the hardest so far?” She asked. Fern sighed. “I can never get the defence for larger opponents,” she said. “You mean this one?” Crystal said. She leaped high into the air, pretending to land on another rabbit and clawing its ears, then leaping off, turning in midair to face the opponent and slash its face. Fern gasped. “How did you do that?” She asked, awed. Crystal shrugged. “That’s the one you need help with, right? Well, first…” They spent the entire recess working on the move, and when their time was up, Fern had gotten lots better.
