Keep thou the candles lit, for shadows do creep, As phantoms in silence from the darkness leap. With mirth turned to terror, our hearts tightly bind, Embrace the grim spectres that chill the night mind. Lo! What devil draws near with a visage so dire, 'Tis Blinch, the Blue Grinch, whose heart burns with ire. Once merry and bright, now twisted and cold, He prowls through the night with a hunger untold. In whispers deluded, the lost souls shall wail, Their tales wrought with anguish, despair’s icy veil. With kinsmen beside us, let courage take flight, For dread lurks in corners this ghastly night. His laughter, a harbinger, echoes the gloom, As he schemes and he plots, beneath winter’s tomb. So let the lights flicker, let not their flame die, For the spirits of yore in the moonlight do pry. In this haunted assembly, our fates intertwined, Beware the Blue Grinch, his darkness enshrined. With dread, we shall gather, as shadows unite, To confront the grim terror of this cursed night.
