This tornado was rated a very VERY rare "EF-6" title, the first of its kind. The wind speed of this tornado was determined to be 342 mph, the fastest of any tornado. The diameter of the tornado was around 3.1 miles wide. The damage was comparative of a nuclear blast. Beryl was completely wiped off the map, along with towns also hit. At the end, you can hear the tornado as it tore Beryl up. It not only went down in Arkansas state history, but also US tornadic history as the strongest tornado in the US, beating Bridge Creek-Moore in strength, and El Reno in width. Therefore, the "EF-6" rating was created, with wind speeds of 340-360 mph, and damage comparable to a nuclear blast.
